Apostolic Vicariate of San Andrés y Providencia

The Apostolic Vicariate of San Andrés y Providencia (Latin: Sancti Andreae et apostolicus Vicariatus Providentiae ) is located in Columbia Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with its headquarters in San Andrés. It includes the province of San Andrés and Providencia.

History

Pope Pius X founded on 20 June 1912, the mission sui juris San Andrés y Providencia cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Cartagena. On 14 November 1946 she was elevated to the Apostolic Prefecture and on 5 December 2000 as Apostolic Vicariate.
