Apoxyomenos
Apoxiomen ( Ἀποξυόμενος ancient Greek ) refers to the statue of an athlete, the dust and sweat with the help of a strigilis of the skin stripping itself. Are known among other things:
- Apoxiomen of Lysippos: Bronze statue of the sculptor Lysippos from the 2nd half of the 4th century BC, mostly known by a Roman marble copy in the Vatican Museums
- Apoxiomen of Ephesus: Bronze statue from Ephesus, now in the Ephesus Museum in Vienna
- Croatian Apoxiomen: Bronze Statue, Hellenistic copy of a lost original by an unknown master in the Kvarner Palace in Mali Lošinj, Croatia
