Apple Design Awards

The ( German about: Apple Design Award ) Apple Design Award abbreviated, ADA, is an award for innovative software and hardware for Apple Mac and the iPhone mobile phone. It is awarded annually by Apple in several categories at the Worldwide Developers Conference to independent developers.

There is the award since 1996; in the first two years under the name of " Human Interface Design Excellence Award". Alluding to both the acronym HIDE as well as Heidi Roizen, then as Vice President of World Wide Developer Relations at Apple responsible for the relationship with the developers, the price was at that time called " Heidi " ( according to Oscar).

As a symbol of the prize, the winners get a cube with an Apple logo that lights up when it is touched.
