Apple earbuds

The EarPods are headphones from Apple that were introduced with the iPod touch 5th generation and the iPhone 5 together in 2012. They replaced the EarBuds used until then. the EarPods are included with every new iPhone or iPod - but they can also be purchased separately for a price of about 29 €.

Development

The EarPods were using 3D scans developed by many ears, so that they remain stable in the ear than their predecessors, according to Apple in several years of development. But since they have a uniform shape, they do not fit every user equally well. Other manufacturers solve this problem with rubber articles. EarPods offer a better sound than its predecessor.

The EarPods are available in various designs, for a standard version included with each iPod and execution EarPods with Remote and Mic (English: EarPods with remote and mic). The version with microphone and remote control has, as the name suggests it, a microphone and remote control unit can be controlled with the audio playback of iOS.
