Aquarius Platinum

Aquarius Platinum is an Australian company based in Bermuda.

The company was founded in 1920 as Mount Monger Gold Mining Company and promoted initially in Kalgoorlie gold field. 1984, the company was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. In 1995, the company Gemex Exploration & Mining Company and Randex Platinum Holdings was acquired. In 1996, the mining company Pacific Platinum was purchased, making the mine Kroondal was taken. In 1998 the company went to the London Stock Exchange.

Mainly, it is focused on the promotion of platinum in Zimbabwe and South Africa ( Bushveld Complex ) and owns and operates the South African mines Kroondal, Marikana, Everest and in Zimbabwe the mine Mimosa.
