Arabella-Hochhaus

The Arabella skyscraper was from 1966 to 1969, today Arabella Park built by the businessman Josef Schörghuber in the former district of Munich Bogenhausen. It has 23 floors and has a total height of 75 meters. Architect of the house was Toby Schmidbauer. In the immediate vicinity there is also completed in 1981 Hypo -Haus.

At the 1972 Olympics, much of the housing was converted into a hotel operation. The Arabella Bogenhausen was with 467 rooms and suites, one of the largest hotels in Munich. Since suites are sometimes long-term rented as apartments, the advertised number of hotel rooms is constantly changing (as of August 2012: 446). Next to the hotel operating a clinic, about 500 rental apartments and approximately 100 offices and doctors' offices are housed in this building. On the roof is the highest spa area of the city of Munich.

As part of the joint venture between today Arabella Hospitality Group and Starwood Group in 1998, the hotel was renamed the Arabella Sheraton Bogenhausen, since October 2008, it operates under the name Sheraton Munich Arabellapark Hotel. It is now a common enterprise with the The Westin Grand Munich ( until May 2009 Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel Munich) performed on the opposite side. Both houses together form the largest conference hotel in southern Germany.
