Arch support

The insert ( alternatively: Fußeinlage or shoe insert, no footrest ) is used for medicinal purposes. It will be done by an orthopedic shoemaker or orthotist individually for each leg shapes.

First, a diagnosis must be created, which malposition ( splay, crease foot, flat foot, pes cavus, equinus ). Then, it is taken from the feet, an impression (plaster cast, again distinguished by loaded, unloaded, or blue print for insoles ).

Depending on a particular shape of the foot insert is used to achieve the desired purpose:

Deposits differ greatly in the material, in the execution and in length. Suitable materials ( obsolete): aluminum, duralumin, wood, (current): Carbon, stainless steel, thermoplastic resins, cork, foam, each ( except stainless steel ) with leather or textile covers in consideration.

There are to the respective treatment purpose, inter alia, rimless deposits, shell deposits, deposits with the outer edge of the heel or hallux valgus deposits or sensorimotor deposits.
