Arenite

Arenite (Latin arena = sand ) is a clastic sedimentary rock with a particle size of 0.063 to 2 mm. A arenite corresponds to rocks that are attributable to the sandstones. The term arenite is common especially in the classification of clastic limestones, in which the grain-size- dependent description sandstone otherwise used does not make sense.
