Arensch is a district of Cuxhaven, in Lower Saxony. Until 1937 belonged Arensch - as well as Cuxhaven - the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

Near Arensch various rocket experiments were carried out 1945-1964. Thus, the A4 rocket surgery started Backfire in October 1945 from a forest in Werner built between Arensch and Sahlenburg start site, of which some remnants bunker and a bottom trough are still left.
