Arenys de Munt

Arenys de Munt is a Catalan city in the province of Barcelona, in northeastern Spain. It is located in the comarca of Maresme.

The referendum from 13 September 2009

In Arenys de Munt, a referendum was held on the question of independence of Catalonia on 13 September 2009. With a turnout of 41 %, 96% of voters voted for independence. This was the beginning of a whole series of similar referendums in various Catalan communities.
