Argentina at the 1996 Summer Olympics

Argentina took at the 1996 Summer Olympics to neunzehntem time in the Olympic Summer Games in part. The team won a total of three medals, two silver and one bronze. It consisted of 178 athletes, of whom 131 men and 47 were women. They started in 101 competitions in 20 sports. The youngest participant was a gymnast Ana Destefano with 15 years and 60 days, the oldest was the shooter Ricardo Rusticucci with 50 years and 73 days. The Argentine flag was worn during the opening ceremony on 19 July 1996 by judoka Carolina Mariani in the Olympic Stadium.
