Arida, Wakayama
Arida (Japanese有 田 市, -shi ) is a city in Wakayama Prefecture in Japan.
Geography
Arida is located south of Wakayama and north of Tanabe.
History
On 19 September 1954 the town Minoshima closed (箕 岛 町, chō ) and the villages Itoga (糸 我 村, -mura ), Yasuda (保 田村, -mura ) and Miyahara (宫 原 村, -mura ) of the district Arida to the municipality Arida (有 田 町, -chō ) together. On May 1, 1956 Arida got the Charter.
