Aries Spears

Aries Spears ( born April 3, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American actor and comedian. He is best known for his roles in the comedy show MADtv on FOX.

Life

Aries Spears was born in Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois. His family moved to New Jersey where he left school at the age of 17 years. Spears started his career as a comedian in his hometown. He had in Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam, followed by It's Showtime at the Apollo his first television appearance.

Career

Getting roles in film and television

Spears moved in 1992 to Los Angeles and secured a role in the TV series A Different World. He was also common to see the time in the clubs The Comedy Store, The Improv and The Laugh Factory. His other roles on television included appearances on Crosstown Traffic, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. and Soul Train.

At the age of 17, he was seen in the movie Malcolm X. A short time later, he had a role in South of Sunset along with Glenn Frey.

MADtv

Aries Spears was in 1997, during the third season, a part of MADtv and left the show at the end of the 10th season in 2005. Thus he was to see all 8 seasons in the U.S. comedy show. During this time, he created characters such as comedienne Belma Buttons (co -host of metafiktiven series " Reality Check" ), Dollar Bill Montgomery ( a host of the political satire to late-night show Politically Incorrect, called " Realing Talk with Dollar Bill Montgomery ") and James Brown Jr. (co -host of " Cabana Chat ").

He has since become known for his parodies of African-American celebrities, politicians, rappers, R & B singers and reporters. His most memorable roles were the parodies, including Bill Cosby, Bobby Brown, Denzel Washington, Eddie Murphy, Evander Holyfield, James Brown, Jesse Jackson, Kevin Eubanks, LL Cool J, Magic Johnson, MC Hammer, Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson, Queen Latifah, Shaquille O'Neal, Sisqó, Wayne Brady and Jay -Z.

Spears and Debra Wilson held the record for MADtv as the actor who had the longest time to see in the show. However, they surpassed Michael McDonald with his appearance in the 10th season in September 2007.

After MADtv

Spears last appeared in the U.S. comedy show Mind of Mencia, which is a parody of Jamie Foxx 's role in Kanye West's music video for " Gold Digger". In 2006 he was seen in the movie Hood of Horror. In Internet Spears earned a certain reputation as a video of him surfaced, showing him at an appearance on the radio station Live105, where he imitates as rapping voice impersonator LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, Jay -Z and DMX on Youtube.
