Ariobarzanes I of Cappadocia

Ariobarzanes I. Philorhomaios was from 95 BC to 63 or 62 BC, king of Cappadocia. He came from a noble family and was elected after the extinction of the line of Ariarathes the new king. His reign was constantly challenged by Tigranes II of Armenia. He was supported by the Roman protecting power.

His son Ariobarzanes II Philopator succeeded him after his abdication on the throne.
