Ariocarpus scaphirostris is a flowering plant in the genus Ariocarpus from the cactus family ( Cactaceae ). The specific epithet scaphirostris derives from the Greek word for skaphe, ship ' and the Latin word for rostrum, beak ' and refers to the shape of the peaks warts. Trivial names are " Orejas de Conejo " and " Orejitas ".

Description

Ariocarpus scaphirostris grows geophytisch with dark green to brown bodies, the diameter of 4 to 9 inches have and of which protrude only the warts from the soil surface.
