Aristillus
Aristyllos was an astronomer from Samos. He worked in Alexandria, Egypt.
Aristyllos was the first Greek astronomer, which is reported that he tried ( with Timocharis of Alexandria ) local rules of the fixed stars. His lost treatise "On the fixed stars " has been used by Hipparchus and Ptolemy.
The lunar crater Aristillus is named after him.
