Armada Music

Armada Music is an independent Dutch record label that has its headquarters in Amsterdam. On this label, or its sub-labels almost exclusively trance and house music is published. Armin van Buuren is co-founder of the label.

Overview

The record label Armada was founded in 2003 by Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and David Lewis. The name Armada emerged from the first two letters of the three first names. Headquartered in Amsterdam has it. Today, Armada Music includes 26 sub-labels and were made over 2600 musical publications.

In the years 2009 to 2012, the label was awarded the title of Best Global Dance Label. This award is presented annually at the International Dance Music Awards, which will take place in Miami at the Winter Music Conference. Sublabels

The co-founder Armin van Buuren produces his music mostly on the label Armind. This label he founded in 1999 together with the record label United Recordings and was incorporated in the creation of Armada Music in this label. In July 2010, merged with Armada Music Paul van Dyk's label Vandit Records. Vandit remains responsible for the A & R management, marketing the music of Vandit Records and its sub-label Vandit Digital assumes since Armada Music.
