Armand Assante

Armand Assante, Anthony, Jr. ( born October 4, 1949 in New York City ) is an American actor.

Life

The mother of Assante comes from an Irish, his father an Italian family. Armand Assante visited the Cornwall Central High School, after which he studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He made his debut in the 1974 film Brooklyn Blues - The Law of the gutter, where he starred alongside Sylvester Stallone. In the comedy Private Benjamin (1980 ), he had next to Goldie Hawn a greater role in the film drama Love and Money ( 1982), he starred alongside Ornella Muti and Klaus Kinski. The crime movie in the clutches of a stranger (1987 ) was followed by a starring role opposite Ben Affleck. The award-winning film Jimmy Hoffa (1992 ), he starred opposite Jack Nicholson and Danny DeVito.

Assante was married from 1982 to 1994 with Karen McArn. He has two daughters.
