Armando Alba Zambrana

Armando Alba Zambrana ( born February 9, 1901 in Potosi, † 10 October 1974 ) was a Bolivian politician and diplomat.

Life

Armando Alba Zambrana was the son of María Zambrana and Wenceslao Alba. He was with the poet María Luisa Alduante de Alba ( b. 1905 in Potosí, † 1989), married. Their children were María Amparo, Jaime, Ana María and María Luisa.

1930 Alba Armando Zambrana was chairman of the Concejo Municipal de Potosí. He was a member of the literary group Gesta Bárbara. He founded a publishing Potosí, which the publishing of Bolivian literature devoted himself. From 1947 to 1948 he was Ministro de Educación y Asuntos indigenous (Minister of Education ) and the government of Enrique Hertzog. He sat for Potosí in the Senate and was prefect of the Departamento de Potosí. He was ambassador to Madrid and Caracas.

Under his leadership, the Casa de la Moneda was reopened as a museum, he was a member of the Geographical Sociedad y de Historia de Potosí and Issued by the magazine Sur.
