Armature (sculpture)

The faucet in the visual arts denotes a framework within a sculpture, which serves the applied modeling, mostly to wear plaster, paper mache or clay. The method substantially corresponds to the reinforcement in the building industry.

The valve has a purely technical nature in general and contributes to the aesthetics of the sculpture at nothing. Occasionally, the fitting however, also occurs in places to light and is used as a means of designing.
