Arne Anka

Arne Anka is a Swedish comic character.

The figure of Charlie Christensen (pseudonym Alexander Barks ) is a cynical anarchist and duck. It is similar to the figure of Donald Duck (Swedish: Kalle Anka ) and has long been the object of a threatened lawsuit, the Disney Group. In response, Arne underwent after a feigned death plastic surgery to escape with a distinctly her beak Disney's threat. The new bill liked neither Arne nor the readers and so he bought some time in Butterick 's a joke article shop in central Stockholm, a beak that looked like his old beak and he could attach at the top with a rubber band. The elastic band was from this time always visible in the drawings; in the event of a lawsuit Arne could take it off.

Publication

The comic series was published from 1983 to 1995 per month in the Journal of the Swedish metalworkers' union Dagens Arbete and four albums, 1995 also a play by Christiansen itself was produced. 2004 saw the duck a comeback alongside the figure Konrad K in a new series of Swedish newspaper Dagens Arbete. Since December 2004, Arne is again the main character of the series.
