Arnold Forstmann

Arnold Forstmann ( born June 16, 1842 in Dusseldorf, † 1914 or later ) was a German landscape painter. Besides the typical ideal landscapes in the tradition of the Düsseldorf School Forstmann created a variety of vistas especially the Rhine valley and the Alps.

Life

Arnold Forstmann joined the Düsseldorf Art Academy in the third quarter of 1867. He studied there in the landscape class of Oswald Achenbach. In February 1872 he left the Academy, his last teacher was Albert Flamm. Anrnold Forstmann is out in the student lists the Dusseldorf Art Academy deaf and dumb with the note. In Dusseldorf he lived until 1889, then lose track of him. The occurrence of South German motifs leads to the assumption that he has as many of his fellow painters, extended trips undertaken.

Services

Signature

The paintings of Arnold Forstmann are not dated in the rule. However, there are some exceptions that allow the survival data Forestry 's narrow detail.
