Arp-Madore 1

AM-1 is approximately 400,000 light-years distant globular clusters of the outer halo in the constellation of Horologium. The globular cluster was first cataloged in 1975 as part of the ESO / Uppsala Survey of Holmberg; Lauberts reported shortly thereafter by the extraordinary distance. Its now common name goes back to a later study by Arp and Madore.
