Art Bears

Art Bears was an experimental avant-garde rock group. It was formed in 1978 from the remnants of progressive group Henry Cow, was always intended to be short-duration experiment and dissolved in 1982, and again on. The trio consisted of Fred Frith (guitar, bass, violin, and others), Chris Cutler (percussion, texts) and Dagmar Krause ( voice ). Their music often attacked political, usually Marxist / socialist colored positions on ( inter alia, in quotations and allusions of Hanns Eisler ) and unfolded, despite their orientation towards conventional song structures large complexity.

Cutler and Frith concerted without Dagmar Krause, inter alia, on the CDs Live in Moscow, Prague & Washington (1990 ) and 2 Gentlemen in Verona ( 2000).
