History

First mention of a settlement in 1075 under Géza I. from the House of Árpád in connection with the Benedictine monastery in Hronský Beňadik.

Economy and Transport

The community is supported by the European route 60 - crosses and, together with the Romanian community Borş border crossing Ártánd - Bors - played out here as European route 79 and Main Street 42. The rail link is given by the railway line Püspökladány - Oradea.
