Arthur Ganson

Arthur Ganson ( born 1955 in Hartford, Connecticut) is an American artist. He is a representative of kinetic art.

Ganson studied at the University of New Hampshire. He is known among other things for his work with Concrete Machine internationally. This object slows down the rotational speed of a motor than twelve gears so strong that the last gear for one revolution more than two billion years needed and therefore may be cast in concrete.

Ganson work has been exhibited among others at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and at Ars Electronica.
