Arthur Jacobson

Arthur Jacobson ( born October 23, 1901 in New York City, New York; † 6 October 1993 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California ) was an American assistant director, who nominated at the Academy Awards in 1934 for an Oscar for best assistant director had.

Life

Arthur Jacobson began in 1931 in Honor Among Lovers his work as assistant director in the film industry in Hollywood and has been involved as such in the production of 40 films and television series. At the Academy Awards in 1934, he was among the nominees for the Oscar for best assistant director.

Among the most famous productions in which he participated as an assistant director include the films The weapons smugglers of Kenya (1941 ), A New Kind of Love ( 1963), emergency landing in Space (1964) and Camelot - At the court of King Arthur (1967). He worked throughout his career with film directors like Henry Hathaway, Melville Shavelson, Byron Haskin and Joshua Logan.

He turned as a director only a movie, Home on the Range (1935 ).
