Arthur P. Jacobs

Arthur P. Jacobs ( born March 7, 1922 in Los Angeles, † June 27, 1973 in Beverly Hills ) was an American film producer.

Jacobs produced only 13 films, but 8 of them went down in film history:

In 1963 he acquired the film rights to Pierre Boulle's science fiction novel The Planet of the Apes, the film production company considered each as unfilmable. Jacobs ' company, APJAC Productions, Inc., however, ventured with success the production.

His wife Natalie Trundy, he for the second part met during the filming, and married in May 1968 played in four of the films in more and different roles.

Shortly after the end of production on The Battle for the Planet of the Apes Arthur P. Jacobs died of heart problems.
