Arthur River, Tasmania

Arthur River is a small town on the banks of the estuary Arthur River in Tasmania, on the largest island of Australia. The place is located about 61 kilometers from Smithton and about 15 kilometers from Marrawah.

The place was by George Arthur, a lieutenant in the Dutch East India Company, named. In the village live about 120 people working in the fisheries, forestry, and especially in the tourism industry.
