Intrauterine insemination ( IUI ) is a method of artificial insemination.

For intrauterine insemination thus the matured oocytes closest to the obtained sperm, which were purified and selected in the laboratory, transferred into the uterine cavity via catheter at the time of conception optimum. The probable date of ovulation is previously estimated by hormonal and ultrasound examination. Often oocyte maturation and ovulation are caused by medication.
