Aryeh Gamliel

Arieh Gamli'el (Hebrew אריה גמליאל, born March 11, 1951 in Beersheba, Israel ) is a former Israeli politician Shas, who was from 1988 to 2003 a member of the Knesset.

Biography

Gamli'el attended a yeshiva in Rehovot and was ordained as a rabbi. He then worked as head of a Talmudic school in Sderot. He was on 29 July 1992 to September 9, 1993 Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing, 13 August 1996 to 22 August in 1997 and from 24 August 1997 to 20 January 1998 and of 25 February 1998 until July 6, 1999 Deputy Minister for services to religion.
