Aryeh Nehemkin

Arieh Nechemkin (Hebrew אריה נחמקין; born November 2, 1925 in Nahallal ) is a former Israeli politician.

Life

From 1943 to 1948 he was a member of the Haganah. During the Israeli War of Independence in 1948 he served in the IDF, where he earned the rank of lieutenant colonel. He was from 1959 to 1960 Member of the Economic Committee of the Israeli settlement movement Tnu'at HaMoschawim (Hebrew תנועת המושבים ). He was head of its economic division between 1965 and 1967. Subsequently, he was secretary of the Israeli settlement movement 1970-1981. In 1981 he was elected to the Knesset as a representative of HaMa'arach. He was confirmed in the 1984 elections and was on 13 September 1984 to December 22, 1988 Minister of Agriculture. In the 1988 election he lost his seat
