Ascalaphus

Askalaphos (Greek Ἀσκάλαφος ) In Greek mythology, a son of Ares and Astyoche and thus a brother of Ialmenos.

Both brothers ruled together in Orchomenus in Boeotia, took part in the voyage of the Argonauts and were among the suitors of Helen. In the Trojan War they led together the 30 ships full contingent of Minyae from Orchomenus and from Aspledon. Askalaphos fought along with Idomeneus against Aeneas to the body of Alcathous.
