Ascelin (bishop)

Ascelin († January 24, 1148 ) was Bishop of Rochester.

About his choice, there is no documentation, so it is assumed that he was appointed by Theobald, Archbishop of Canterbury, in 1142. With his appointment, he gave up the office of Prior of Dover, which he has held since 1137.
