Ashley Caldwell
Ashley Caldwell (born 14 September 1993 Montgomery Village, Maryland) is an American freestyle skier. She specializes in the discipline Aerials ( jumping).
Biography
Caldwell was in her youth first gymnast before she switched to freestyle skiing. As of December 2007, she participated in FIS competitions and in the Nor- Am Cup. After winning twice in the continental championship, she debuted on 10 January 2010 at the World Cup and was in Calgary right away Eleventh. With two other top -15 results in the following week, she qualified for the 2010 Winter Olympics, where she reached the tenth place.
The FIS appointed Caldwell 2010 Rookie of the Year. On January 21, 2011, she won the competition in Lake Placid and was the first time on the podium. At the 2011 World Championships in Deer Valley, they missed out on Fourth just a medal.
