Ashton-Tate

The Ashton- Tate Corporation was an American software company, which was known by the development of the popular database program dBASE. Other products were Framework, Multi Mate, InterBase, Rapid File and Javelin.

In September 1991 the company was acquired by Borland. Ashton- Tate's dBASE and InterBase were developed and continue to be sold with success. dBASE Plus, a development environment for 32- bit applications is now available from dataBased Intelligence Inc.. InterBase is supervised by Borland.
