Asie Payton

Asie Payton (* 1937 † 19 May 1997) was a blues musician who most of the time his life in Holly Ridge, Mississippi in the Mississippi Delta [note 1] spent. He was born in Washington County ( Mississippi). He sang and played guitar but earned his living as a farmer.

At the end of his life he recorded an album, " Worried", on the Fat Possum Records record label on which was published after his death. He died of a heart attack. A second album "Just Do Me Right " was published posthumously in 2002.
