Askar Abildaev

Askar Abildajew ( Kazakh Аскар Абильдаев; born June 16, 1971) is president of the Football Association Shakhtar Karaganda and a former Kazakh football player.

Career

Askar Abildajew began his career in 1988 in the Soviet third division club Shakhtar Karaganda. In 1991 he was engaged by Kairat Almaty, where he was able in 1992 to win the championship of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh Cup. In 1994 he moved to the Irtysh Pavlodar. After one season he returned to Karaganda where the striker ended his active career. In November 2008 he was appointed president of Shakhtar Karaganda.
