Asmir Kolašinac

Asmir Kolašinac ( Serbian Cyrillic Асмир Колашинац; * October 15, 1984 in Skopje) is a Serbian athlete.

Kolašinac participated in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing in the shot put discipline in part, but could not qualify for the final itself. Previously, he was able to decide the Serbian championship. At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009, he left already in the qualification. In Doha, he resigned in the following year at the IAAF World Indoor Championships again in 2010 in the qualifier. Four months later, he reached the ninth place in the final at the European Championships 2010 in Barcelona. At the 2011 World Championships he finished eleventh.

The following year, Kolašinac won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Helsinki. At the Olympic Games in London shortly after he finished seventh. In March 2013 he won the gold medal in the shot put at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden.
