Asphalt shingle

Preolitschindeln are a typical DDR roofing. As bitumen shingle they are to flying sparks and radiant heat according to DIN 4102 Part 7 resistant ( fire). Since they ( " normal flammability " ) belong to building material class B2 according to DIN 4102 Part 1, they are considered hard roof. The material is now being produced with fiber glass fleece reinforcement.

Preolitschindeln be laid as a punched-out shape paths; the adjacent, connected shingles have rectangular, triangular or beaver tail shapes.
