Assa River (Sunzha River)

The Assa ( Chechen Ӏaьса-хи/Ìa ' sa- hi, Ingush Эса-хий/Èsa-hij ) is a river in the North Caucasus. It rises on the northern slope of the main ridge of the Greater Caucasus in Georgia and flows through the Russian republics of Ingushetia and Chechnya. The length of the river in Georgia is 20 km, 91 km in Ingushetia and Chechnya 32 km.
