Association of Arentèle-Durbion-Padozel communes
The Communauté de communes de l' Arentèle - Durbion - Padozel is a municipal merger of the twelve parishes northeast of Epinal in the Vosges department in Lorraine.
The Local Government Association has 3,482 inhabitants (1 January 2007) to 103.46 km ², which is / corresponds to a population density of 34 inhabitants km ². Seat of the Association is the community Girecourt -sur- Durbion.
The territory of the association is located in the transition zone between the western foothills of the Vosges and flatter land near the Moselle. The name of the Association of Local Authorities has the three small rivers Durbion (right Mosel tributary ), Arentèle and Padozel out (both tributaries of Mortagne ). For Local Government Association consists of eleven municipalities of the canton Bruyeres and a municipality in the canton of Châtel- sur -Moselle.
The community association was founded in 2003 in order to concentrate the material resources of the very small communities and to coordinate economic development.
To the field of the local association includes regional planning as well as the cross-community business and tourism development. The Communauté de communes de l' Arentèle - Durbion - Padozel has also set a goal to work closely together in the areas of road rehabilitation, housing construction and flood protection.
