Atıl Kutoğlu

Atil Kutoglu ( * 1968 in Istanbul) is a Turkish fashion designer who lives in Austria.

Life

Atil Kutoglu was born in Istanbul and attended the German School. He came to start a business degree, which he completed in 1991 to Vienna. With funding by the then Mayor of Vienna, Dr. Helmut Zilk, and the fashion Secretariat of Commerce Austria in 1991 he was able to present his first collection. In 1992 he was awarded the Prize of the City of Munich for the best newcomer in the fashion industry. In 1994 he received the " DIVA Woolmart " for the best Austrian fashion designer. This was followed by fashion shows in Dusseldorf, Milan, Paris and New York. In 1997 he opened the first " Vienna Fashion Days". In 1999 he exhibited in Istanbul 's " Ottoman Collection " on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the founding of the Ottoman Empire.

Fashion

Kutoglu settled in his designs always inspired by the shapes and colors of the Ottomans and wealth combined oriental elements with the clear handwriting of the Western fashion designers. He mainly uses leather, organza, muslin, velvet, silk and fabrics with a glossy look. Especially through his evening clothes he was soon able to count on a number of well known personalities who made known his clothes. These include not only Austria's Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik, Francesca von Habsburg, Sonja Kirchberger, Catherine Zeta -Jones, Barbara Wussow, Naomi Campbell but also for five years Hayrünnisa Gul, wife of Turkish President Abdullah Gül. This regular customer has given the designer a special order. He is said to "modernize" the avowed wearing a headscarf, this.
