AT&L Railroad

The AT & L Railroad (AAR reporting mark: ATLT ) is an American Short Line Railroad Company in Oklahoma. The company is based Watonga and is owned by the Wheeler Brothers Grain Co. Named the company must follow the grandsons of the owner.

Through the society, the former Chicago Rock Iceland and Pacific Railroad routes from El Reno on Geary after Watonga (64 km) and Geary to Bridgeport ( 15 km ) are operated. They also track since 1998 use rights has for state-owned Union Pacific Railroad route from El Reno to Oklahoma City.

The built in the 1880s came in 1904 for rock routes Iceland. After its bankruptcy in 1980 the Oklahoma State acquired the line from El Reno to Geary. First, this section was operated by the North Central Oklahoma Railroad. In May 1985, the AT & L Railroad took over the operation of the line and simultaneously acquired the stretch until after Watonga. In July 1986, the company was incorporated on the section to Bridgeport.

Most important transport goods are grain, fertilizer and agricultural consumption goods. The six locomotives of different types of EMD transport about 3,000 freight cars per year.
