Atlanta Tennis Championships

The ATP tournament in Atlanta ( officially BB & T Atlanta Open, before Atlanta Tennis Championships ) is an American tennis tournament that takes place every summer in Atlanta, Georgia. For the first time it was held in July 2010; it replaced the ATP tournament in Indianapolis and how this played on Hard Court. The competition is part of the ATP World Tour 250 and the U.S. Open Series, a series of hard court tournaments in North America, which will serve as preparation for the U.S. Open. The venue is the Atlantic Stadium.

Between 1992 and 2001, before an ATP tournament was held in Atlanta, the Verizon Tennis Challenge; the tournament but was in contrast to the Atlanta Tennis Championships played on Clay Court. Record winner of the hard court tournament is Mardy Fish, who won the first two sweeps for themselves. In Matthew Ebden won also double twice. When it was still played on sand in Atlanta, were the Record title winner Michael Chang in the singles and Richey Reneberg in a double with two tournament victories. Andy Roddick won both events as a single player.
