Atlas (Springfield automobile)

The Atlas Motor Car Company was an automobile manufacturer from the United States.

Business

Harry A. Knox, a well-known automobile pioneer and founder of the Knox Automobile Company (1900-1914), directed against his former company in Springfield, Massachusetts, which he left in 1904 in the dispute, a new production facility in. Having been enjoined to build there under his name truck, he established the company as Atlas Motor Car Company. From 1907 to 1911 he built there cars with two, three and four cylinders whose specialty was the design as a two-stroke engine. In 1912 the company on four-cylinder engines slider ago by license Knight. The Atlas -Knight only existed until 1913, the year of the bankruptcy of the company.
