Atle Næss
Atle Næss (born 25 March 1949 in Mysen ) is a Norwegian author of several novels and children's books. Næss grew up in Askim since 1976 cand philol. in the subjects of English, Linguistics and Norwegian. He worked until 1987 as a teacher at the secondary school in Asker, in Odense, Denmark ( in the subject Norwegian), in Frydenberg and the College Østfold. His debut novel was 1975 love story " Gun", but so far only three works were translated into German, including a report on Galileo and a novel about the mathematician Bernhard Riemann. His books have been translated into ten languages .. Naess currently lives in skiing or in Kråkerøy. His daughter is the linguist Åshild Næss, with whom he wrote the book Et hav av språk.
