ATM Class 1500

The ATM - 1500 series is an original 502 car with numbers 1501ff. comprehensive railcar type of Milan Azienda Trasporti Milanesi Transport Company (ATM), which operates the tram Milan. Alternative designations are as follows - derived from the first year in which the production car - 1928 or Ventotto (Italian for twenty-eight ), Carrelli ( bogie wagons ) or Peter Witt. The four-axle, four-engine and high-floor seating car in device design will still have a wood construction and a pneumatic brake. The two prototypes with the numbers 1501 and 1502 originated in the years 1927 to 1928, the 500 series car with the numbers 1503 to 2002 in 1928-1930. 2014 are still 126 of them in operation, they are - even before the Lisbon Remodelados - the oldest planned employed tramcar in Europe. Because of their relatively small capacity, they also only drive on the less frequented lines 1, 5, 19, 23 and 33, as an amplifier on the line 2

Elf no longer needed in Milan car was from the ATM to the F Market & Wharves line in San Francisco, where they operate as a tourist trams. Similar vehicles also arrived earlier in Genoa, Naples, Padua, Trieste and Turin are used, another arrived in the Spanish capital of Madrid.
