Attila Hazai

Attila Hazai ( born April 30, 1967 in Budapest, † 5 April 2012) was a Hungarian writer.

Life

From 1987 to 1995 Hazai studied English at the Eotvos Lorand University. Since 1995 he worked as an editor at Link Budapest, an Internet magazine for contemporary literature, works. In 1999 he received a Zsigmond Móricz literary scholarship. Hazai was a member of Attila József circle (Hungarian József Attila body ) and a member of the Writers' Union Szépírók Társasága, from 2000 to 2004 as Vice President. As a musician, he worked in the groups Pepsi ore and Hazai Íz. He wrote the screenplay for the film Rám csaj még nem volt ilyen hatással. He also translated literary works from English into Hungarian, among others, by Raymond Carver, Walter Kirn and James Frey. Hazai has also published under the pseudonym Feri Soros.
