Aubade

The Aubade (from French aube, " dawn ") is an in 17-18. Century resulting musical genre (vocals, singing with accompaniment or purely instrumental ) which is a counterpart of the Serenade, the " Evening Serenade " as is " Morgenständchen ".

A well-known example in the 19th century is the so-called Siegfried Idyll by Richard Wagner, which of these dedicated as " Idyll with Fidi Tribscher Vogelsang and Orange Sunrise " for Christmas 1870 his wife Cosima; it was offered to her on Christmas Day as a " symphonic Birthday " to the 33 birthday on the stairs of the house Tribschener by musicians from the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra under the baton of Hans Richter.
